Introduction to DockPanel Navigation for V8 Search XE
Navigation Explorer provides a hierarchical interface for viewing and managing the objects in each instance of SQL Server (1) and displays the number and types of Dynamics objects (2) imported.
In the databases, the display is limited to tables, views and stored procedures. In the Dynamics databases, there is a special folder called "Dynamics NAV Meta Object". Metadata is object definition in xml format, User Code is application code written in C# .Net format and User AL Code store codes which we write in C/AL editor (Developer Environment’s Object Designer).
Only a system administrator/local host administrator is able to perform all checks or functions.

Updatable: Yes "Pane SQL Server Objekt-Explorer": Displays objektes in a tree structure Object Explorer provides a hierarchical user interface for viewing and managing objects in all instances of SQL Server. The Object Explorer Details pane provides a tabular view of instance objects and a feature to search for specific objects. The Object Explorer uses a tree structure to group information in folders. To expand folders, click the plus sign (+) or double-click the folder. Expand folders to view more detailed information. You can only search for an object if you have previously opened an account. The objects are read at runtime and can therefore only be searched for after they have been completely loaded into the structure. You perform actions on objects by clicking directly on the Object Explorer node that represents the object. Only the "Dynamics NAV Meta Object" type supports a unique set of right-click actions.
![]() If the search term is found, the name containing the search term is marked and activated at the same time. If you have opened the tool window "Nav Table Properties" in parallel, the Dynamics NAV object will be landed in parallel. Here is a list of some of the relevant data for the table. For example, the key or the trigger in the single triggers. This function is only possible in the tables. ![]() With the F3 key you can display the next result. Press the F4 key to go back one step. ![]() |
