In V8 Search XE, various dialog windows / boxes open up when various functions or actions are performed.
The following list provides short information about each dialog box.
An Application button, which presents a menu of commands that involve doing something to.
Action: Main Window -> Dashbaord -> Treeview on the left
This is the master dialog that is displayed when a query on specific performance analysis topics is called from the dashboard. Please see UIElement Dialogs for further information.
Action: Main Window -> Open
Connect to a SQL Server instance via the V8 Search XE main window. Please see DockPanel Forms for further information.
Action: Main Window -> File -> Settings

Here you can find the build number from the properties of V8 Search XE executables.

Shows the contents of the current license file.

Is it mandatory that you import the changed Dynamics objects (e.g. a new table or change of a function in a codeunit) into the V8 database. This is the only way V8 Search XE can perform an optimal analysis of the problems between SQL Server and Dynamics NAV/BC.
Select the objects you want to import in the dialog. We recommend that you always import all objects.
Click the "OK" button.
The new objects are then imported into the V8 database. V8 Search XE will archive the first objects in another V8 table (V8 Object NAV CSIDE History).

Action: Filters after collecting the target data.
When executing certain functions / actions a filter dialog appears. You can select these filters in the user interface to exclude some target data records from display.
The following V8 display filters are available:
A filter for the time period that examines the Timestamp column.
Click "Check" to determine the number of reduce the amount of data.
Please do not load too many data sets into the overview, as this can lead to performance problems in the V8 client.
The filtered data is then displayed in the dialog.
